Ideally you’ll arrive 5-10 minutes before the class start time.
We know that sometimes running a few minutes late is unavoidable. However, your safety, your experience and the flow of the class are really important to us.
We allow a 5-minute grace period after the scheduled class start time. If you arrive within this time, your SHAYP teacher will decide whether it is safe and appropriate for you to join without disrupting the class.
Once the 5-minute grace period has passed, the studio doors will close and unfortunately we won’t be able to allow you into the session.
New to Shayp?
If it’s your first reformer class with us, please arrive 10 minutes early. This gives your instructor time to welcome you, introduce you to the reformer and make sure you feel comfortable and confident before the class begins. For your safety, first-time Shaypers who arrive after the class has started will not be able to join the session.
Thank you for arriving on time and helping us create the best possible experience for every Shayper.

You don’t need much — just yourself, something comfortable to move in, and your grip socks.
Wear comfortable, fitted activewear that allows you to move freely and lets your teacher see your form. We also recommend bringing a water bottle to keep hydrated throughout your session.
Grip socks are compulsory for all reformer classes at Shayp. They provide extra grip and stability on the reformer, help keep our equipment hygienic, and allow you to move with greater confidence throughout your session.
Forgot yours? Don’t worry — Shayp grip socks are available to purchase in the studio for £15.
Why Grip Socks? - Grip socks aren't just part of the look. They help:
Improve grip & stability — giving you better traction and control on the Reformer.
Keep things fresh — providing a hygienic barrier when using shared equipment.
Move with confidence — reducing unwanted slipping so you can focus on your movement and form.
No grip socks, no reformer — but we’ve got you covered if you forget them.
We recommend keeping jewellery and personal belongings to a minimum, and long hair should be tied back before class.

We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan. However, due to high demand and to give other Shaypers on our waitlist the opportunity to attend, we operate a 12-hour cancellation policy.
If you cancel your booking more than 12 hours before your scheduled class, your session will be returned to your account or refunded in accordance with your booking type.
Cancellations made within 12 hours of the class start time will be considered a late cancellation, and the session will be deemed used. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or credit for late cancellations.
Thank you for helping us keep classes accessible to as many Shaypers as possible.
